Light becomes points. Turn the density up for detail, down for a sparser swarm.

Sciame

Sciame is an experiment in fragmented perception. It strips a moving image down to the bare minimum the eye needs to still recognise it — no continuous surfaces, no outlines, only scattered points that hold wherever light falls. What remains is a swarm: a face, a hand, a room, a street, each reassembled by the eye from shadow and light alone. The question it poses is how little of the world we actually need before it becomes legible again. You choose what it reads from: a built-in animated demo, a video you upload, or your live camera — front or rear on a phone. A dial, density, decides how many points survive, from a sparse constellation of highlights to a dense grain of detail. Nothing is uploaded — each frame is measured on your device and immediately discarded. Only a clip you choose to record is ever kept.
